A Case of Arteriovenous Malformation of the Ulterus

Abstract
|
|
|
Arteriovenous malformation of the uterus is extremely rare and is encountered in younger women and may be the cause of bleeding before 20 wks in pregnancy or during labor and the early puerperium. This malformation may be congenital or acquired.
The
most common clinical presentation is abnormal uterine bleeding, which may be aggravated by therapeutic curettage. The diagnosis is usaully made retrospectively after hysterectomy, but it may be also made by uterine angiography and
ultrasonography.
We
have experienced one case of arteriovenous malformation of the uterus, which is presented with a brief review of the literatures.
